This is the current 3-Day Schedule for the 2017 Tennessee Tiny House Festival.

~ Wednesday-Thursday, September 6-7, 2017
Vendor & Builder Set-Up Both Days (Not Open to the Public.)

 

~ Friday, September 8, 2017
All Day until 2PM: Final Vendor & Builder Set-Up. (Please contact us if you need additional time.)

 

9:00AM-2:00PM: FREE Field Trip Day for Public, Private and Homeschool Students (Ages 5-18).  This is for pre-registered schools and students ONLY, and is NOT open to the general public.

 

11:00AM: An interactive, fun, and educational discussion between students and the author (Susan Schaefer Bernardo) and illustrator (Courtenay Fletcher) of “The Big Adventures of Tiny House”.

 

5:00PM-8:00PM: FREE to the public!  (No Ticket Necessary!) Come out and enjoy the live music, fire performances, visit with vendors & builders, and check out all the tiny houses. (Remember: Friday evening is FREE to anyone and everyone.)

 

5:00PM-8:00PM: Concession Sales Available (Some concessions sales may be open earlier during the FREE Field Trip Day for Students.)

 

6:00PM: Main Stage – Outdoor Concert & Fire Performances

 

~ Saturday, September 9, 2017 (Paid Admission Ticket Holders Only)*

 

  9:00AM: Gates Open (Entrance to the event closes at 3PM and tiny house tours will begin to close down at 5pM on Saturday.  Only those who have already been inside the gated area prior to 3PM will be allowed reentry after 3PM for the evening and night-tine activities.)

 

  9:45AM: Main Stage – Opening Comments and Announcements

 

10:00AM-5:00PM: Workshops, Presentations & Lectures. (Full Hour-by-Hour Schedule posted below.)

 

10:00AM-5:00PM: On-Site Tiny House Build. (Watch, and even participate, in the construction of an actual, full-size tiny house on wheels.  Hosted by Timber Trails & GoTiny.)

 

10:00AM-10:45AM: Reid Roach, “DIY Challenges & Solutions”.

 

11:00AM-11:45AM: Jeremy Weaver, “WHERE THE HECK CAN I LEGALLY HAVE MY TINY HOUSE?!”.

 

11:00AM-12:45PM: 9-9-9… Keep It In Mind, “9 Speakers… Presenting 9 Individual Topics… 9 Minutes-Per-Topic… Followed By a 30+ Minute Q&A Session.”

 

12:00PM-12:45PM: Solar Energy & Battery Storage Workshop: Presented by Hannah Solar at their Booth Area.

 

12:00PM-12:45PM: Composting Toilet Workshop: Presented by Nature’s Earthly Way at their Booth Area.

 

1:00PM-1:45PM: Professional Builders and Vendors Q&A Panel, “Hear It From the Pro’s”.

 

2:00PM-2:45PM: KEYNOTE – Steven Harrell, “Hacking the Financial System”.

 

3:00PM-3:45PM: Andrew Bennett, “Building, Planning, and the Benefits of Tiny Houses”.

 

4:00PM-4:45PM: Brian Kennedy, “One Man’s Junk; IS My House”.

 

(The time between the completion of the workshops, lectures, and presentations at 5:00PM, and the outdoors movies and night-time bonfire, would be  great time to recharge, relax, and have dinner from one of the great food concessions who will be in attendance.)

 

  6:00PM: Main Stage – Outdoor Movies & Bonfire.

 

Children’s activities, food concession sales, and all the tiny homes will be available throughout the day*.  Additionally, children’s author Susan Schaefer Bernardo and illustrator Courtenay Fletcher will be reading their book, “The Big Adventures of Tiny House”.
